Welcome to The Center For The Arts, Wyoming!

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, our mission is to foster appreciation and skills in the arts for children and adults of all ages and abilities.

The Center is a leading non-profit fine arts school in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Southwest Indiana, and offers a wide spectrum of artistic opportunities to all who are interested.

Now in it's 12th year, The Center is home to Midwest Modern Music School, Cincinnati String Academy,The Art Workshop, Musik Kids, Wyoming Dance Center and The Touchstone Violin Project. Look around, and don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We would love to hear from you!

SUMMER PIANO CAMPS IN JUNE AND JULY

This is our 7th year offering beginning to advanced piano students the opportunity to expand their skills and explore their talents in Piano Odyssey or Piano Exploration camps.

The Piano Odyssey Camp is for the intermediate to advanced student, 13-18 years old.

In the Piano Explorations Camp, beginning to intermediate students 7-14 years old, will have a great time learning new music and enhancing their current skills and making new friends.

Each camp has its own schedule and includes master classes, ensemble, collaborative piano skills, Jazz & theory, tech lab and more.

Students will participate in Master Classes featuring invited guest faculty from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Cincinnati Music Academy, Toedtman School of Music and Indian Springs Academy of Music. At the end of the week there will be a fantastic, music filled Finale Performance for family and friends. You will get to hear the amazing advancement your child has made in their piano skills and see a new confidence in playing music.

Register now, the deadline to register for Piano Odyssey is Monday, May 19th.

Deadline for Piano Explorations Camp is Monday, July 14th.

We are very excited about our line-up of camps and classes beginning in June. We look forward to welcoming back our current families and invite new families looking for fun and educational experiences for their children and themselves (check out the Rock Camps!) to attend our summer programs.

Our summer camp brochure, "Summer @ The Center 2008" is available to print out and read at your leisure OR move over to the menu, choose the camps you want from the Summer Camps menu and register online right now!.

This is our 13th year offering camps in music, art, dance and theater. We have returning "camp favorites" such as: School of Rock, String Flings, Chamber Music, Piano Explorations, Make Your Own Pet, and Family Music AND many new camps like: RockXtreme, Girls Rock!, Adults Rock!, Dance Like You Mean iT, Be A Princess and Superhero.

Camps are half-day, week long for ages 4-adult! Some weeks have morning and afternoon camps which you can combine for a full day with a supervised lunch period.

We also offer private lessons during the summer in violin, viola, bass, guitar, piano, and harp. Don't hesitate to call the office or email us if you have any questions about classes or camps. We would love to have you spend some time with us this Summer @ The Center.


Bands At The Center Concert!

Midwest Modern Music School is hosting a "rockin" concert featuring groups that have formed bands from our Studio Band Classes. These unique rock music classes have grown to include band groups, each featuring students ages 8-15yrs playing; guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals.

The next concert will be in held the ballroom of the Center on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 7pm. Free admission to an evening of classic and contemporary rock music. Come and be amongst the first to hear some of the hottest new groups in the area perform live. Check back here to find out which groups will be performing at the concert!

Midwest Modern Music School Classes & Events

In addition to the Bands at the Center Concert, we also have exciting music classes and activities happening in the Music Tech Lab this session. Tom Haines, Director of MMMS and faculty member is leading a music production class of eager minds in Sequencing on "Logic Pro." Teen and adult students alike are learning how to navigate Logic's rich music production environment using the very latest in production technology: Logic Studio, featuring Logic Pro 8.

Additionally, Mr. Haines’ Songwriting class and Ryan Halter’s Digital Recording class students have been busy learning essential techniques and methods that develop creativity and technical understanding of music and equipment in new ways.
