This class is perfect for the beginner! We will teach 2 of the five basic ballet positions and learn basic ballet terminology. In tap we will learn a handful of basic tap steps in which the students will then build on in the fall. This class is a perfect preface for the beginning ballerina!

**All Ballet/Tap levels 1-3 classes this summer are meant to be used as a ''bridge''. Ballet and Tap are progressive classes that continue to build on basics adding more technique at each level. These summer classes should be used to help your child build their skill level in order to be placed in classes in the fall in accordance with age**

This skill level requires at least one full school year of dance instruction. During the 8 classes we will concrete their knowledge of the 5 basic ballet positions and build on those by learning specific facings and ballet terminology. In tap, we will learn about music timing and quicker footwork.

Beginner ages 7-9: Tuesday 630-715pm $175/11 weeks

No experience required! This class is a great class for the child who loves to dance to popular music. During these 8 classes we will learn how to combine different classical jazz stepping to modern hip hop. At the end of the 8 classes we will have a completed dance. Music is kid friendly and parent approved!!

This class is ideal for the ''first timer''. Movement and dance can be vital in developing fine motor skills in young children. We do not use ballet terminology just yet, but we make shapes (circles, triangles, and diamonds) to demonstrate the ballet movements. We will listen to music and learn to dance how the music tells us. We will tell stories through our dancing and use objects such as hula hoops, scarves and teddy bears to show how the music moves us!
