HOMESCHOOL ART CLASSES

Mondays 6-7pm

The focus is placed on developing imagination, character development, and storytelling through sequential art: creating dynamic illustrations for graphic novels. Illustration is the key to attract the eye and activate imagination. In this class, free-standing images will be created as well as sequential art. The principles of background, middle ground and foreground, extreme perspective and dynamic character design are but a few lessons that will be taught and regularly practiced. So rev up your imagination, and "pencils at the ready" for an explosive series of illustrations for graphic novels.

Winter/Spring Quarter: $138 / 10 weeks each

Spring Quarter: $108 3/21 to 6/4

This unique program provides home-schooled students a fine art curriculum that includes art history and aesthetics and is based on state standards. This year long studio class includes drawing instruction, printmaking, collage, sculpture, ceramics and much more. Each project provides students with art vocabulary, experience with fine art materials constructed on the foundation of the elements and principals of design. Returning students will find exciting new projects that build on previous knowledge and experiences.
