MUSICAL THEATER

$250/15 weeks

Students will explore all aspects of Musical Theatre including acting, singing, dancing and choreography from musical theatre repertoire, under watchfull eye of Miss Cindy Wilmes. They will share what they have learned at an end of session Showcase performance for family and friends. No rehearsals outside of class time.

A huge hit for the yougsters! An all-new, original musicals for young children! A low-key, fun way to learn traditional songs, a simple dance, and poems to wow the audience! The children will create the costumes, learn their parts, and put on a show for family and friends on Friday during the last half hour of camp. Each day we build our community of young singers/actors through movement, music, art activities, and snack time (you send the snack). Children who have participated in the Young Musicians Program in the past year may be "almost 5 years old" to be accepted.

Steve Irwin, professional dancer, choreographer and director and Keith Minnery, music director will fill the week with music, song and dance from this lively production. Plan now to attend the full blown performance on Friday at 3pm that includes set designs, props and costumes created in the Behind the Scenes Camp in the morning. Auditions are held the Sunday before the first day of camp, or as arranged. Please call the office for more information. Scripts and a music CD are sent to the camper before the audition. Camp fee includes materials and copyright fees.
