Beginning Orchestra - "Melody Orchestra"
Thursdays, 6:00-6:50 PM,
beginning October 13th
We will focus on basic
musicianship and ensemble skills, while gaining exposure to a sampling of
repertoire and musical styles in a fun and nurturing environment!
Melody Orchestra is appropriate
for students with a minimum of 1 year playing experience (private lessons
strongly recommended). Students should be able to play 1 octave scales and read
comfortably on all four strings in the keys of G, D, and A major.
Intermediate Orchestra - "Cadence Orchestra"
Thursdays, 5:00-5:50 PM,
beginning October 13th
We will focus on musicianship and
ensemble skills, while gaining more exposure to a large variety of repertoire
and musical styles in a fun and nurturing environment!
Cadence Orchestra is appropriate
for last year's returning students, or students with over three years playing
experience (private lessons strongly recommended). Students should be able to
play 2 octave scales and read comfortably on all four strings in the keys of B
flat, F, C, G, D, and A major. Violinists, Violists, and Cellists should be
familiar with 1st - 3rd positions.
The orchestras do require an audition, although an
exception may be made if your child has participated in orchestra during the
school year with us before.

The orchestras will
meet from October to May, with two concerts during the
year.
The first rehearsal
will be on October 13th. Tuition for the entire year is
$185.00
