About The Center For The Arts
The Center was originally a home in the established area of Wyoming. Built in the 1850’s the house was purchased by the Masons in the early 1900’s and renovated for use as a Masonic Lodge. The Masons are responsible for the addition of the beautiful ballroom facility on the main floor and Masonic Theater on the third level that are offered for rental purposes. Paul Bartel bought and renovated the building in 1995 in order to provide a community facility for the arts. Now in its 11th year, The Center For The Arts is the home to the The Music Technology Lab, Cincinnati String Academy, The Art Workshop, Musik Kids, and Wyoming Dance Center. Organizations such as Flying Cloud Academy of Vintage Dance, Cincinnati Civic Orchestra and Cincinnati Contra Dancers use our facility as their home base for workshops, rehearsels, concerts and balls. We are a 501-(c)(3) nonprofit, tax exempt organization whose mission is to foster appreciation and skills in the arts for children and adults of all ages and abilities.
