Jordan Dodson, Guitar
A native of Columbus, OH, Jordan Dodson has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years old. After 8 years of lessons at a local music shop, he studied classical guitar with Karl Wohlwend, professor of guitar studies at Otterbein College. As a member of The Grove City High School Jazz Band he won Outstanding Soloist awards in both Kings Island’s Music in The Park Festival and the Colonial Jazz Competition in Columbus, Ohio. During the summer of 2006, Jordan was a member of the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and performed in a concert tour of Italy. Currently, an undergraduate at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) Jordan is pursuing a major in Classical Guitar performance. He performs with the CCM classical guitar ensemble for two intensive tours per school year and as a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia music fraternity. In 2007, he appeared as a guest soloist with one of the CCM chamber orchestras and continues to play in variety of recitals and concerts. Every Friday and Saturday night, Jordan can be seen playing at the Wine C.A.R.T. in West Chester.
