Martin Diller, Drums

Martin Diller has been playing drums and percussion for over seven years and piano for over four years. He is currently a junior at University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music studying Jazz Percussion.

Growing up in Oakland, California, Martin was exposed to various styles/genres of music from classical to rock, Latin to jazz, and performed in numerous ensembles and groups around the Bay Area.

He attended the California State Summer School for the Arts, the Berkeley Jazz School, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute among others. As a music instructor at the Northern California music camp Cazedero, Martin ran the percussion sections in the Orchestral and Jazz bands.

He was recently elected to perform with the Ohio Intercollegiate Big Band led by Robin Eubanks (Trombone, Dave Holland) and is also endorsed by Bronwyn Drums (bronwyndrums.com).

Currently, Martin performs with indie singer/songwriter Peter Adams (peteradamsmusic.com) and with his own trio for gigs at Baba Budan's in Clifton every-other Tuesday. He is also an avid Oakland A's and Raiders fan, enjoys playing tennis and football, and is still not used to the snow and cold in Cincinnati.
