The Cincinnati String Academy Orchestral Program, housed in The Center for the Arts in Wyoming, was instituted in 1996 by Paul Bartel, former President of the (CFTA) Board of Directors. This program grew from the first Summer String Fling Orchestra Camp Program, which began in the summer of 1996.

The Center for the Arts, Wyoming is pleased to announce Dr. Timothy (Terry) Durbin and Trista Emmons as Directors of The Cincinnati String Academy Orchestral Program. The program provides talented string students with an opportunity to broaden their musical experience by performing challenging repertoire and enjoying the thrill of ensemble playing! Rehearsals begin the week of September 17, 2007. We look forward to seeing you at the Center!

Academy Chamber Orchestra

Dr. Timothy Durbin

The Academy Chamber Orchestra (ACHO) is an advanced level string orchestra for students in grades 7-12. The ACHO furthers students' abilities by enjoying standard professional chamber repertoire in this inspiring string orchestra. The ACHO meets weekly on Monday from 7:15-8:45 pm in The Center's Theatre.

Academy Cadet Orchestra

Trista Emmons, Director

The Academy Cadet Orchestra (ACO) is an advanced intermediate level string orchestra for students who have studied privately for many years and are comfortable shifting and using basic spiccato bow strokes. This orchestra meets weekly on Wednesday from 6:05-7:05 pm in The Center's Ballroom.

Premiere Academy Orchestra

Trista Emmons, Director

The Premiere Academy Orchestra (PAO) is an early intermediate level string orchestra for students who have studied privately for a few years and can play well on their instrument. Students should be able to read all strings comfortably. This orchestra meets weekly on Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm in the Ballroom.
